Los Angeles Surf Forecast - For Tuesday - 1/26/10

New WNW-NW swell moves in on Tuesday…hitting most the South Bay but pushing some smaller energy into Northern LA as well.

Average W facing breaks will be in the chest-shoulder high range…with a few head high+ sets sneaking through on the lower tides. The South Bay will be more in the shoulder-overhead range with some bigger sets going a couple of feet+ overhead coming through at the top spots.

Winds will be S-SE around 10-15 knots for the morning…even going a little more ESE at times early on. The South Bay will be pretty clean with these sort of directions, but you will get a little more hack at spots along North LA. Winds go more to the S-SSW late in the day but again the South Bay breaks may remain pretty manageable.
