Los Angeles Surf Forecast - For Wednesday - 1/06/10

The small, but rideable WNW swell mix will hold into Wednesday. The surf won’t be “all-that” but it should be fun in the right spots. North County breaks will be pretty small…mostly breaking in the ankle-knee high range with a few knee-high sections at the better winter beaches. South Bay breaks will be in knee-waist high range with some waist high+ sets now and then. The standout NW spots, especially the ones that like short-period swells, will be in the waist-chest high range with some inconsistent shoulder high sets.

Winds look good…mostly light to moderately offshore in the morning blowing out of the E around 10-15 knots. Look for those winds to shift more Northerly and stick around the 10-15 knot range for the afternoon.
