Los Angeles Surf Forecast - for Monday - 2/1/2010

Mix of fading WNW-NW swell and some small S-SSW swell. Things look a bit slow in the morning as we try and get through the high tide…but there may be a few waves for the early dawn patrol. Once the tide evens out look for surf in the knee-waist high range for the average WNW facing spots. Standout South Bay NW breaks will be more in the chest-shoulder high range with a couple of bigger sets still showing on the really good sandbars.

Winds will be light ESE through the morning, and then light W around 10 knots for the afternoon…the bump doesn’t look too bad through the afternoon so we might see some cleanup through sundown if the wind behaves.
