Los Angeles Surf Forecast - for Tuesday - 2/2/2010

Mostly leftover WNW-NW swell and weak S-SSW swell on tap for the morning. North County spots will stay pretty small…mostly knee-waist high on inconsistent sets. It will almost feel flat for many breaks as the tide peaks. Look for South Bay breaks to be in the chest-shoulder high range…with a couple of rare bigger sets showing at the standouts.

By the afternoon the new WNW-NW swell will start to show a little energy…not a ton…but enough to get the consistency of the bigger sets to be a bit better at the standout NW breaks.

Winds look good for the morning…mostly light and variable to light ESE. Winds shift more S-SW onshore around 10-12 knots for the afternoon. Chance of light showers developing overnight into Wednesday.
