Los Angeles Surf Forecast - for Tuesday - 2/16/2010

Still plenty of waves on Tuesday even though the mix of W-NW swell and background SW energy will be backing off. Average spots in North County will be in the waist-chest high range with some shoulder-head high sets at the top breaks.

The South Bay spots will average around shoulder-high to a little overhead on the sets while the standout spots still see sets going a couple of feet overhead. The surf looks fun through the morning tide push but may slow down quite a bit as the tide fills in…you may want to plan around that tide peak.

Winds look good…mostly light and variable to light offshore for the morning. NW winds around 10-14 knots move in through the afternoon.
