Los Angeles Surf Forecast - for Wednesday - 2/3/2010

WNW-NW swell peaks on Wednesday and helps drive in some new surf. Look for the average WNW facing spots to be in the waist-chest high range with some less consistent shoulder high sets. Standout South Bay breaks will be more in the chest-head high range with some overhead sets mixing in…possibly even a little bigger on the lower tides.

Expect most spots in North LA to be fairly small, particularly at the S facing spots…wave heights will likely hold in the knee to occasionally waist high range for those areas.

Winds will be light NW-NNW for the morning…mostly below 5 knots and even slightly offshore for some of the better positioned spots. WNW winds build up to the 10-15 knot range for the afternoon. Cloudy skies and a little drizzle are on tap for most of the day.
