Los Angeles Surf Forecast - for Friday - 2/12/2010

New W-NW swell and a new background SW swell will be filling in on Friday…but don’t expect a ton of new surf through the morning. Early on we can expect most spots to hold in the knee-waist high range with a few inconsistent chest high sets. South Bay Breaks will start more in the chest-shoulder high range on the sets. Look for more size and more consistency as the two swells fill in through the day…most breaks will be in the chest-shoulder high range by sundown…with some bigger head high possibly overhead sets showing at the South Bay standouts. Definitely expect the swell mix to peak over the weekend.

Winds look good…mostly light and variable early and then just variable winds around 10-15 knots on tap for the afternoon.
