Los Angeles Surf Forecast - Weekend Waves - 2/13-2/14/2010

Make sure to read the full region forecast it has more complete details on the incoming swell and regional conditions. Click here for the full forecast www.socalsurf.com.

The new W-NW swell (275-300) will peak over the weekend while some smaller SW swell (200-220) peaks through the background. Exposed North County spots can expect surf in the chest-shoulder high range with a few bigger head high+ sets showing at the standout W-WNW facing breaks. The South Bay will have surf running head high to a couple of feet overhead pretty consistently…and some bigger sets going well overhead at times. Looks pretty similar both Saturday and Sunday…but look for better surf on both days during the lower tides.

Look for N-NE winds around 10-15 knots for Saturday and Sunday mornings. Afternoon winds will turn onshore out of the WNW around 10-13 knots, but may stay manageable at the protected spots.
