Los Angeles Surf Forecast - for Friday - 2/5/2010

Not much showing for either North or South County for the morning…just some leftover WNW-NW swell that will keep the spots up north around ankle-knee high (with waist high sets) and a few chest high+ sets sneaking into the South Bay standout spots. New W-WNW storm swell will start to arrive late in the day…probably not showing too much before sunset but possibly putting a few new waves into the well exposed breaks. Winds will be out of the S-SE so many spots in the South Bay, that also happen to be exposed to the new swell mix, will be at least semi-manageable if not clean.

Winds and weather are looking a bit stormy with S-SE winds 10-15 knots showing across the county for the morning and then gusts hitting up around 20-25+ knots for the afternoon. Showers are expected to push south through the day.
