Los Angeles Surf Forecast – Thursday – Leftovers with a side of bumpy

The Swell
Our swell will be pretty weak for the morning as we see a mix of leftover NW swell (290-300) and some background SW energy (200-220). NW windswell will start to increase late in the day and will peak overnight into Friday.

Waves
Average spots will be in the knee high range through the morning…while the better NW facing breaks in the South Bay stay closer to waist high. Building afternoon WNW-NW windswell will add some size to the winter breaks but onshore winds are likely to hack up conditions.

Winds
Looks like light onshore/sideshore NW winds in North LA for the morning…the South Bay looks a little cleaner with a touch of ESE winds wrapping around the PV headlands. Look for NW winds 10-20 knots for the afternoon…possibly stronger around sundown.
